Dom,Clint, Mia and baby Geyser

When my friend Dom asked me to do a maternity shoot for her I was super excited about the idea.  We all met when we were working in the bush in Botswana and being able to record this new phase in their lives for them was really a privilege.  We laughed a lot as Mia, the Boston terrier, though that the photo shoot was really about her.  She literally stole the show.  I loved doing this shoot, seeing how a friend turns into a mother is a special thing.

Charine and Johnny

I had the immense pleasure of photographing the wedding of Charine and Johnny.  Some of you might recognize Johnny from the band Fokofpolisiekar and Die Heuwels Fantasties.  A beautiful yet shy couple that I really enjoyed photographing as their wedding ceremony and reception was so true to who they are.  Down to earth, non fussy people that wanted a day with real meaning surrounded by their closest family.  It was a wonderful experience actually being a part of such a small and intimate celebration as their were many moments of love and joy expressed through-out the whole day that I hope I captured for them in a way that reflects how they experienced it.

The christening of sweet Sofia

On a recent lovely Sunday morning I got to take photos of the christening of Sofia, little girl of Wendy and Wilhelm.  Afterwards we spent some time at Ons Huisie in Blouberstrand where we had tea and some yummy snacks.  This was really a special light-filled, family celebration of the newest addition.

It really was a special occasion and I loved being there to capture it for them.

Blouberg and some red balloons - Elana and Werner

There is something incredibly special about a couple who after being together for nearly 7 years still can't keep their hands off each other.

It was a real pleasure to shoot engaged couple Elana and Werner over the weekend at Bloubergstrand.  Elana is an old school friend and I absolutely loved capturing these photos of them.

We were lucky to have a beautiful sunset and kite surfers that added to the backdrop.

It is always great to have a couple that is not afraid to play around and have fun with each other and when that happens all you have to do as photographer is capture the little unposed moments in between and you have your shots!

Thanks for a really fun afternoon!
